On 4th April 2008, Foseco plc was acquired by Cookson Group plc and will be integrated into Vesuvius, its ceramic activity.
Foseco will continue to serve the foundry industry worldwide as it has done for the past 75 years, and the offer will be enhanced by the inclusion of the Vesuvius foundry products portfolio.
The deal significantly enhances Foseco’s position in the melting and metal handling area in steel, iron and non ferrous foundries and enables the company to offer customers around the world improved service by leveraging a wider range of high-value solutions and enhancing resources for technology development across the whole spectrum of foundry operations.
